Welcome to The Beading Heart®.
This has been, is and will be an exciting journey. Making this dream turn into a reality has been long coming. With the greatest support from my
biggest fan, my mother, and my other equally biggest fan, my husband, I am doing something I have always wanted to.
I am a bead weaver taught by an American Indian woman, named Ann Kopanski, during the late 60's in Flagstaff Arizona. Her husband built my first
loom out of a cut 2 by 4 with nails. Since then my husband has made me many handcrafted looms for the different size pieces Iąve created. All
loomed projects including my "Beading Heart"TM have come from original ideas and patterns created by me and my husband, with the exception of
Native American patterns that are known from certain tribes. My bead patterns have not come from computer generated art, which I have not
dismissed but have not as yet ventured. Since looming, I have self taught and taken the extra step in many different beading stitches which
I also teach to others. My daughter like me at a young age is beading and enjoying looming. Soon I will share her loomed creations with you.
From the love of seed beads is the love of all beads. Within this site you will find strung jewelry, wire working, and many different types
of art using beads. I love doing custom work for special occasions such as weddings to one of a kind anniversary pieces, to commissioned art
pieces. I believe in working with the highest quality materials. I deal with sterling silver, 14k gold, precious, semi-precious gem stones
and crystals. All my work is guaranteed.
In this site you will learn more about me and I would greatly appreciate hearing from you. I know that there is unprecedented talent all around.
I would love to hear from those who also share the same bead dream or have felt that sense of calmness when they reach into a bowl of seed beads,
or the excitement you feel when you take your hand across strands of gemstones and crystals that are calling your name at a bead show. Or, wishing
you had the courage like I wished when my son hid his body in a curtain of swarovski strands that were draped along a wall. Thank goodness they
didnąt have "Do Not Touch" signs or I surely would have been carried out.
I will continue to add to this site. Soon I will have beading kits, patterns and a schedule of classes. So please stay in touch!
